Altadena Historic district major announcement!!!
exciting news for our HHNA neighborhood.
We are proud to announce that on July 22, 2025, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors officially approved our application to establish the Altadena Historic Highlands as the first historic district in Altadena. This milestone follows eight years of dedicated community engagement, including webinars, neighborhood meetings and outreach efforts.
The new historic district includes 77 homes (see accompanying map) on the Altadena (north) side of the Historic Highlands, with the southern portion governed by the City of Pasadena. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration are forthcoming- please stay tuned for details!
We extend our sincere thanks to all Altadena homeowners for their support and patience. Special appreciation goes to the HHNA Board- Clint Palmer, Jama Meyer, Veronica Boone, Donna Burddick and Adriana Tiner- for their leadership. We also thank LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger for her support, and offer special recognition to David Anderson, Co-President of the Altadena Historic Highlands Landmarking Committee, for his exceptional contributions.
