So what is it that draws filming to the Historic Highlands? Maybe it's the historical and beautiful
homes it accompanies, or the tree lined streets, our sense of community.
Whatever the reasons may be, production companies continue to find our neighborhood a
desirable place to film. This is good news for us! Filming in the Historic Highlands is one of our
primary sources of revenue for the HHNA. The money that is donated from production companies
helps to fund neighborhood parties, donations to local schools and libraries, as well as other
activities.
As the Film Liaison for the HHNA, I work closely with the Pasadena Film Office to stay abreast of
what's going on in our neighborhood............film contacts, type of filming, dates, locations and
other important information. This information is essential in soliciting donations, however, due to
the high demand to film in the City of Pasadena and permit processing, many shoots get approved
last minute and fall under the radar.
Here are a couple of ways that we can partner as a neighborhood to secure more donations:
1. If you spot any filming activity in the Historic Highlands, please call Linda Lake ASAP at (626)
797-0684 home or (626) 221-6377 cell and tell me what you know! And a special thank you to
those of you who continue to give me the heads up. It helps tremendously!
2. If you are planning to host filming at your property, again, please call me ASAP and let me
know. It is also very helpful if you could support the HHNA and me by kindly reminding the
Location Manager and/or Production Manager to contact me.
Thanks in advance for your assistance! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
Linda Lake.
